Background and Credentials

Dr. Ngoc “Nancy” Tran has been with Southmore Dental for over ten years and has come to know and love the patients she has had the privilege of treating. She is passionate about treating patients of all ages and understands that communication is key in a doctor-patient relationship. Being proficient in both the Spanish and Vietnamese languages, she is able to make patients feel more at ease when discussing their dental needs.

Dr. Nancy grew up in Galveston, TX and later moved to Houston, TX where she lives with her husband and two children. She attended Texas A&M University in 2001 where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. Later, she attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry and graduated in 2008. The following year, Dr. Nancy did a General Practice Residency at the NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn (formerly Lutheran Medical Center).

In addition to remaining informed through continuing education, Dr. Nancy is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Greater Houston Dental Society as well as the Houston Hispanic Dental Association. She continually strives to increase her knowledge so that she may be better able to help her patients.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Nancy enjoys spending time with her family. She especially loves sharing new experiences with her two young boys and seeing the world through their eyes. Whenever time permits, Dr. Nancy also loves to exercise and work on her gardening. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a happy, healthy smile.
